The biggest fight in British boxing between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua looks to have been signed and sealed in a major announcement.
After almost a decade of going back and forth with one another, Fury and Joshua look set to finally face each other in what is a monumental moment for British boxing.
Just moments after Fury made his recent comeback victory against Arslanbek Makhmudov, the 37-year-old issued a challenge to ‘AJ’ who was present at ringside at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this month.
Whilst Joshua didn’t give much away in response to Fury, the two-time unified heavyweight champion did admit that he expects the fight to happen this year as he continues his own comeback journey.
After much anticipation, the domestic super-fight appears to have been made official as revealed by Turki Alalshikh, who has played a key role in delivering some huge fights over the last two years.
Speaking on social media, Alalshikh delivered an update on the much-anticipated heavyweight clash which he says is ‘signed’.
“To my friends in Great Britain – it’s happening. It’s signed.”

With an official announcement expected to be made in the near future, the heavyweight match-up is expected to take place in November at an undisclosed venue in the United Kingdom.
Joshua is likely to take a ‘tune-up’ fight beforehand, while Fury could also now be set to do the same, as the long-term rivals prepare to finally lock horns in what promises to be a memorable event and moment for British boxing.
