It’s been a roller coaster career for David Price. The likeable Liverpool heavyweight won Olympic bronze, proved dominant at domestic level before the wheels came off.
Since then it’s been an erratic journey, with a few surprise wins and a larger number of brutal defeats, prompting questions about his chin, defence and conditioning.
Recently however, a resurgence. Three wins on the spin, culminating in a schooling of on-form Dave Allen, has bolstered Price’s confidence to such an extent he agreed to face Dereck Chisora at short notice this Saturday, in an intriguing crossroads clash.
He explains to Radio Rahim why he did so and what Price believes a victory will mean for him.
