A vision is when we create an image of what can be achieved. For example, most world champions do not become great at what they do by accident. It is an intentional process of thought manifestation. When the late great boxing coach Cus D’Amato saw Mike Tyson spar when he was a child, he had a vision that one day Mike Tyson could become the youngest heavyweight boxing champion of all time. Considering Cus had already coached and mentored the then-youngest heavyweight champion (Floyd Patterson) at that time, his words had credibility. Mike adopted Cus’ vision and worked vigorously until it became a reality.

Have a vision of where you want to be and how far you want to take yourself in the ring. Your vision may change, but it is important to have one.

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou had a vision of becoming a boxer when he was a young child in Cameroon. Despite there being many obstacles that could have prevented his dream of becoming a professional boxer, he rose to the occasion. He travelled through life-changing obstacles to make his goal into reality.

On Saturday 28th October, Francis made history by losing a split decision boxing match against the current WBC and Lineal heavyweight champion of the world, Tyson Fury.

An inspiring vision will give you a sense of purpose.
