Dillian Whyte has got plenty to say to Anthony Joshua about his fight with Tyson Fury.
Joshua has fought just once in well over a year, and that was a straightforward knockout of former YouTuber Jake Paul out in the United States last December, live on Netflix. His last contest before that saw him stopped by Daniel Dubois as he attempted to dethrone the IBF champion in September 2024.
At the end of last year, he was involved in a tragic car accident in which he lost two close team members and friends, but he is now back in the gym and has been working with two-time undisputed king Oleksandr Usyk.
He recently took time out of camp to watch Fury beat Arslanbek Makmudov and speaking to iFL TV, former ‘AJ’ rival Whyte was asked about Joshua’s ringside response to Fury’s call out afterwards.
“‘AJ’ is moving mad. ‘AJ’ should have said yeah. He just said I’m the boss, I’m the landlord, he just says ‘AJ’ stuff, it’s b**locks, it’s the biggest fight in world boxing, just say yeah.
“You’re not getting any younger, that fights getting harder to make, Just take the fight and shut up. You don’t need to goad me into a fight, I’ll have it. It makes sense, we want to see it. Boxing fans want to see it. Everybody wants to see it so why not just f***ing have it.”
The current plan is for Joshua to have a ‘warm-up’ fight – promoter Eddie Hearn says he will look for a top 20 heavyweight – before facing Fury later this year.
