Tyson Fury’s Manager Says One Thing Might Help the Anthony Joshua Fight Land in the UK

Tyson Fury’s manager, Spencer Brown, has provided the latest update on where the long-awaited Anthony Joshua fight might land.

Fight fans have been waiting for the all-British heavyweight showdown for almost a decade. Both men are former unified champions who have stood tall over the division, but have not yet been able to come together in the ring other than some early sparring.

The fact that both Joshua and Fury lost two consecutive fights to Oleksandr Usyk and were left without any belts in recent years has not helped, but they are both now on the rebuild trail and have signed to come together later this year. Where it happens remains up in the air, with Las Vegas said to be as much an option as the UK.

Speaking to Playbook Boxing, Brown explained the situation and said that intervention from the UK government would help.

“There is still no decision where we’re putting this fight. We want it in England, I think Eddie wants it in England as well, but we have to look at it monetarily as well. There is such vast sums of money involved. We need to get the government involved, If we could get London open to 12 – 1 o’clock in the morning, it would be a different scenario, but nobody seems to want to help and nobody is interested.”

Before the much-anticipated bout, both men have one last tune-up. Fury, who was retired for all of 2025 but got a points win over Arslanbek Makhmudov in May, takes on Mariusz Wach in Thailand on July 24, and Joshua will fight Kristian Prenga the following day. It will be his first contest since knocking out Jake Paul in November last year.
