Oleksandr Usyk Called Out By American Heavyweight After Latest Win: “There’s Nowhere To Hide”

Oleksandr Usyk is still a top target for many in the heavyweight scene.

The Ukrainian is history’s first-ever two-time undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era, having beaten all of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Daniel Dubois twice.

He is now approaching 40-years-old and has admitted he has only a few fights left, having also cleaned up and been the undisputed cruiserweight ruler in 2018, six years on from picking up a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics.

However, speaking to FightHubTV, Jarrell Miller suggested he has something Usyk wouldn’t be able to deal with were they to fight in future.

“Man, listen, he’s a great fighter man, but when you’re fighting a bully like me, ain’t nowhere to run and hide. Uysk doesn’t really have crazy punching power, he has a problem with guys who go to the body and throw a lot of punches.”

Miller is coming off a solid win over Lenier Pero this past weekend, and he hopes that showing can lead to the clash with Usyk.

“That performance, it’s a little glimpse of what I can do. The main thing is going back to the drawing board, it’s work, I’m ready for anybody. I want Rico to do well in that fight, but at the same time, I want Usyk to come back and I can spank him as well.”

Rico Verhoeven is next to face Usyk at the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt in May, but very few believe the kickboxing champion has enough to provide an upset and hand him his first loss.
