Conor Benn continues to take heat from boxers past and present.

Benn has been loud in his call out of all sorts of world champions and big names in recent times, though has not yet proven he is at that level in many people’s eyes.

Last year he lost to Chris Eubank Jnr, then avenged the defeat in a rematch, albeit it many onlookers think Eubank looked seriously weight drained.

This past weekend, he took on former world champion Regis Prograis at 150lbs, despite Prograis primarily fighting at super lightweight before that. Benn got the job done over 12 rounds and Prograis announced his retirement immediately after the contest.

After the bout, ‘The Destroyer’ called for a showdown against Ryan Garcia, whilst slamming ‘King Ry’ for previously being dropped in a bout against the new retired Luke Campbell.

In a new post on X, former Olympic gold medallist Campbell replied to Benn’s comments, insisting his British rival doesn’t possess his skills.

“You’re insulting Garcia because I dropped him. Conor, you’re nowhere near my level. If I were to come out of retirement, you’d be a warm-up fight. Eddie Hearn has done an unbelievable job promoting and protecting your career.”

Campbell fought Garcia in his final fight in January 2021 for the vacant WBC interim lightweight title. Despite dropping him early on, Garcia rallied and went on to stop Campbell in the seventh round.

It was the fourth loss of Campbell’s career but a breakout win for Garcia, though he has lost twice since to Gervonta Davis and Rolando Romero before winning the WBC welterweight title against Mario Barrios in February, which is the one Benn wants to challenge him for.
