Eddie Hearn Reacts To Conor Benn Saying He Will KO Ryan Garcia In 4 Rounds

Conor Benn has claimed he will stop Ryan Garcia inside the opening four rounds if they fight, and Eddie Hearn has given his reaction to that bold claim.

Benn was last out in April when he took on former world champion Regis Prograis up at 150lbs. He boxed well across the 10 rounds and secured a unanimous points decision that led Prograis to retire following the final bell.

It was a second consecutive win for Benn, who beat Chris Eubank Jr in November 2025 following his loss to his long-time generational rival in the first fight back in April of that year.

He has now got all eyes on a world title and is set to face current WBC ruler Garcia, who won the belt off Mario Barrios in February when he beat him on points across 12 rounds.

Speaking to Seconds Out, Hearn gave his honest breakdown of how a fight between the two could go.

“Listen, Conor is a good fighter. Conor’s got a very explosive, exciting style, but he’s never boxed yet, at that level, especially at 147. I don’t think Conor Benn can beat any of the elite guys at 147. I think he’s got a much better chance of doing that at 154 and 160.

“I don’t think he punches hard at 147, I don’t think he’ll have the same chin at 147. I actually liked him close to 160. I thought he was punching harder. I thought he was much more robust.

“But Ryan’s been hurt, and Conor’s not afraid to let his hands go. I just feel like Ryan is too sharp. There’s a difference in levels between a Ryan Garcia and a Regis Prograis right now. I think that if Ryan goes in with confidence, it will be a tough fight. But Conor will give it a real go. He can certainly win the fight.”

Benn, 29, is the current WBC number one but will be the underdog going into that fight as Garcia has fought more consistently at a higher level.
