Dana White appears to be losing patience with Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua and negotiations around where they will fight later this year.
Although many fans think this fight is coming years after it should, there is still huge interest in a legacy-defining showdown between two of heavyweight boxing’s biggest names of the last 15-plus years.
Both Brits are former world champions, but neither of them currently has a belt, and neither has beaten a big name for a couple of years.
Fury was retired for all of 2025 following back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk but has returned to winning ways against Arslanbek Makhmudov and Mariusz Wach this year.
Joshua also lost twice to Usyk, and was then stopped by Daniel Dubois in 2024 before beating Jake Paul last year and then stopping Kristian Prenga inside two rounds in July, despite being down twice himself in the opening round.
Fans have been hoping the fight will happen in the UK, but Netflix has been pushing for it in the US, and promoter Eddie Hearn has said he is ready to pull out if any early announcement without their full agreement is made.
During the UFC 330 post-fight press conference, White was asked about the latest on where the fight might happen.
“Listen, this f**king saga, we’ll see how this whole thing plays out. They either want to fight or they don’t. I don’t know. To make a fight, two guys have to want to fight. Period. End of story.
“Contracts and this and that? There’s a lot of f**king money up for grabs in this fight. Do you want to fight or do you not want to fight? I don’t give a s**t one way or the other. I’d be happy [if the fight was in the UK]. I don’t give a s**t. Do you want to fight or do you not want to fight?”
Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has said he is still confident the fight will go ahead, while Joshua’s former coach Rob McCracken thinks both men could do with more time to get ready.
